History
Local & International Experience

  • Founded in the early 80's as a trading company under the name Soliman Trading of Montreal Inc. .

    In 1990 Soliman Trading established a new division named HVNetworks,this division was dedicated for engineering and contracting in the area of high voltage Networks.

    Late 1990 HVNetworks signed a cooperation agreement with BG CHECO( Division of Alstohm) to execute a feasibility study for Zimbabwe Electricity Authority (ZESA). This study dealt with a Rural Electrification Scheme and was partially financed by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

    HVNetworks deversified its activities to include SCADA systems and Micro-SCADA schemes. HVNetworks participated in the execution of the SCADA projects for Alexandria Electricity Company and Canal Electricity Company (Egypt).HVNetworks has recently completed a feasibility study for a Micro-SCADA Scheme for Alexandria Electricity Company.

    In mid 90's HVNetworks had executed(on turnkey basis) several contracts for Energy and Load Mangement system with Delta Steel Mills, Egyptian Copper Works in Egypt .

    Throughout the 90's, HVNetworks executed many feasibility studies internationally for rural electrification projects in Botswana Power Corp. in Africa, Sarawak Electricity Supply Corp.(SESCO) in Malaysia and recently for in Peru South America.

    HVNetworks was ranked amongst the finalist positions in the Canadian International Innovation in 1998 and has earned the innovation award for its research and developments activities in the development of the Non-Conventional Substation. HVNetworks had completed in 2001, a Non-Conventional Substation, 10 MVA, 275/33 kV for Sarawak Electricity Supply Corporation(SESCO) in Malaysia. This project was executed on a turnkey basis and is in satisfactory operation since August 2001.
